As the Word Polisher, I relish what I do. I make written material more enjoyable for readers—and enhance its value for writers—by identifying and eliminating errors. I improve grammar, punctuation, spelling, syntax, and formatting in all types of written material.

I'm not a typical proofreader. I'm a word polisher.

Before pivoting to word polishing, I was an officer of a multi-billion-dollar corporation. Reading, writing, proofreading, and editing permeated every aspect of my work. Early on, my penchant for correct, clear writing cast me as the resident go-to person for technical and non-technical written material of every ilk. I routinely:

I love to resolve aesthetic anomalies—such as odd spacing and mismatched heading styles—to ensure a pleasant visual experience for readers. I am attuned to grammar glitches and awkward sentences that some writers would never notice. Punctuation flaws that others miss are readily evident to me.

 

I know such errors leave an unfavorable impression, so I help writers eliminate them. I strive to enhance the writer’s image as a skillful author.
